|Your Passion is Purple|
Sophisticated and classy, you're a bit picky about sex.

I so rock :P
I miss the internet. And msn :( It's really irritating that I can't get my laptop to pick up the (albeit) piss poor wireless signal in my halls. Grr.
Proper update tomorrow.

Also: The first Spiderman 'full length' trailer has just been released. O.M.F.G. I want to see this film *now*
It's making the casting of Tobey Maguire as Spider-man almost bearable :P Ditto Kirsten Dunst as MJ. Although slightly worried about the possibilities of retconning with the Sandman being the killer, and all :\
Still looks amazing though.

Current Mood: curious
Okay, so I've not actually posted in forever. Maybe to repay my sins I'll end up in a toasty underworld, which would at least have the added bonus of being warm.
Le sigh. This is the last day of reading week :( And reading is supposed to be relaxing (well no: the idea is you do work for your degree, but I'm intriniscally lazy) but I've spent three whole days doing work for sodding Script to Screen. Which I'm only half-confident with, because... you know that horrible feeling when you think you're doing what someone asks you to do? So you do it, but there's always that element of doubt which screams in your head: you're doing it all wrong!? That's how I feel about my work :\
Ehhh I also have to post some stuff on Blackboard - thankfully that I'm much more happy with - although I'm not going to try writing a sonnet unless I get very hyper and try writing one with Heather, or get drunk. Which is unlikely, because I don't feel like getting drunk, or indeed, drinking anything alcoholic this week. Unless it's sherry. Because that makes me feel Christmassy, and it's December next month. Dum de dum.
I love Ruby :P She sends me things to play with! Pokemon things ^^ Yes, I'm probably too old for Pokemon, and I haven't actually put the emulator and two games she sent me onto memory stick so Heather can play them and so I can put them on my laptop. No sirree, I haven't. Honest ;)
Hmm. I think I'll take the LostProphets cd (Liberation Transmission? Eek, I suck with names) back with me so I can copy it to my laptop. Am quite tempted to take a Kate Bush cd as well.
Also: I've been browsing the SFX forum, and one of the topics is: What is the best/worst Christmas viewing for you?
So, I'm asking my f-list the same question. What gets you in a Christmassy mood? And, because I'm not solely a tv/film freak, what books, comics, manga, songs, whatever - what makes you feel like it's Christmas? Or, conversely, what doesn't?

Wow. I haven't posted for almost a month. Which says volumes about the crapness of the internet in Trinity.
I feel like I suck at certain online things (FNet :\; ditto talking to my msn-friends, being a good friend on lj, lol)
Good (ish) news: the James situation appears to be calming down. Which is good. And nice.
I have the nagging feeling that I have work to do, but Sarah, Les and Orla say no. Which begs the question: why do I feel like I have work for Script to Screen? o.O

Yeah, just another post to say I'm alive. And there is *no-one* on MSN. Well, there are people, but, like, there aren't Kel, Ruby, Ben, Dina, Helen, TallBecca, Geth or Owen online. Grak. And they're fun to talk to.
Edit: Actually, Dina and Helen are online; only just noticed.
So, yeah, I think there's someone kinda interested in me, and it's v. flattering and I kinda like him, but I kinda like someone else, plus this person seems like he may be clingy. :\ But he's really sweet. But then there's guy number two, who is also sweet.
And kinda hot.
But also kinda older.
I added some pictures to my Bebo page, if anyone is interested. Is linked to in my link list.

"Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?"
We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on livejournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights". If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind

Poor Hamster. I actually heard about this on the radio, about 1 or 2 in the morning, and I'd just switched it on to hear the presenter saying that everyone's thoughts were with his family, so I didn't know until about 15 minutes later that he hadn't died, that he'd crashed and been taken to hospital.
And the horrible thing is... bad news (and deaths?) generally come in threes. So we've had Steve Irwin (incidentally, his little girl? I'm in awe at how well she spoke at his memorial service), now Hamster's (I feel really bad using his nickname, but... well, he's the Hamster) crashed - I really hope he recovers from it, so I'm half waiting for another presenter to get hurt/die doing their job. Ack.

Ok, my weekend had... very little precious me on my own time.
Friday: was spent clearing my room. And not just: yeah, I'll rearrange my stuff into neat little piles which are kind of teetering to stay up... and, y'know, I can make little pathways though all the stuff so I can get to my door/wardrobe/windows.
And y'know something? I didn't throw much away. Only two little carrier bag fulls, oh, and one large-ish one, I guess. There are also a hell of a lot of books in my room; they are now happily perched on my shelf. The only thing that will make my room any cleaner is a proper shoe rack. And I've seen a very nice one for something like £16.99. 'Cept I'm not sure whether to buy it now - I go back to Uni very soon, so won't be there to use it - or wait until Xmas time, when I may or may not have vouchers to buy it with.
Yeah, my Friday consisted completely of cleaning.
Saturday: Jim+Karen's party for Jim's mother. Saw Lee and Catherine ^^ Lee might apply for a managing job in the new JJB Fitness Centre they're building in Trostre atm, because he's not happy where he is now, and he's also dying to move back to Llanelli. Apparently he wants to be mayor. Ian, my darling brother, wants to rule the world. I laughed at them both and their silly dreams; after all, I'll beat them both and rule the universe. I've also decided that Ian is the Brain, whilst Lee is Pinky. Lee spent the night describing to anyone who would listen that Ian was/is evil (I agree) and that his childhood was spent being blamed for stuff Ian had done. Or stuff Ian had told him to do. They both eventually came to the conclusion that Catherine and I were the bane of their respective existences.
To clarify: Jim is my godfather. Lee+Catherine are, essentially, extra cousins who we aren't related to. But would quite happily be, if we were allowed to pick family :P
Sunday: Stayed with Ian+Jo. Borrowed a lot of Ultimate X-Men graphic novels off Ian; went shopping with Jo.
Ooh, I bought Final Fantasy X2 for £4.99 today. Am pleased; as I saw it a few months ago for £10.99 and thought that was a good price, but, w00t.
